  1. Joseph continues to lead in his field. A big fan of networking on all fronts, he realizes the importance of being active in his community and is deeply involved and passionate about giving back.

    A former performing artist himself, Joseph took up the classical guitar at the age of 4. He would later be introduced to the oboe during his high school years and at a stage-band recital, was asked to fill in for an absent bassist, instantly falling in love with jazz and the bass, and the rest is history. There’s nothing that Joseph enjoys more than music to find peace.

  2. At a very young age


    Joseph began his business career importing and distributing Italian jeans and casual wear through retail outlets called POP 84. In association with a major Italian manufacturer, Joseph created a major presence for the POP 84 trademark through the 25 retail outlets he owned and operated in the Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Los Angeles and New York.

    Global Jazz


    Joseph has played an integral role as an Executive Member of the Board of Advisors for the Berklee Global Jazz Institute in Boston. A huge fan of contemporary Jazz, his journey with BGJI has taken him to international jazz festivals throughout North and South America, representing some of the most talented and driven students of jazz from around the world. The Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI) is a performance program designed to foster creativity and musicianship
    through various musical disciplines, with Grammy Award winning, pianist and composer Danilo Pérez as its artistic director.

    For three years, Joseph sat on the Board of Directors for Jazz FM 91.1 as the Director of Fundraising.  During that period, he was actively engaged in the development and progress of the station’s special events, live-to-air broadcasts and fundraising initiatives.   Some of his highlights include chairing “The Panama Jazz Connection” during the 2015 Pan Am Games which featured Grammy Award Winning Danilo Perez, John Patitucci and Brian Blade.  A year later, Joseph chaired An Evening with Tony Bennett, a black-tie gala featuring the legend himself.

    Joseph’s past endeavors include many years of fundraising for SickKids Foundation, The Global Family, The Daughter Project and Villa Charities through a series of varied events. From black-tie galas, and art exhibitions, to ripped jeans and motorcycle rallies, from hosting hospital tours, to public speaking at Foundation meetings, Joseph is committed to bringing awareness to the cause, and to enhancing the health of children.

    Corp. in 1992



    Focused on developing new and creative design and finishing options for manufacturers in multiple sectors, Joseph oversees all the major aspects of Colourfast Corp., from sales, research and development, strategic planning, finance, and customer relations. His vast experience in upper management with several companies over the last thirty years has given way to many new and exciting opportunities.

    Level 1 Collective utilizes years of experience in various sectors to provide direction, advice and guidance to start-ups, businesses looking to expand or diversify, or businesses in distress and in need of support.   7. Body, Mind and Spirit

    Committed to enhancing the lives of children of all ages through the traditional martial art of Shotokan Karate. In 2017, Joseph had the good fortune of taking one of his most important passions to the next level and opened BMS Karate in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Having trained in Shotokan Karate and Japanese Jujitsu for over 18 years, this would become yet another way of making a positive impact on his students. Today, the dojo is thriving with classes running six days a week and with students of all ages. Joseph continues to share his insight, discipline, respect for martial arts and for life in the role of mentor at the dojo.
