    in business and in life, Joseph continues to lead in his field. A big fan of networking on all fronts, he realizes the importance of being active in his community and is deeply involved and passionate about giving back.

    A former performing artist himself, Joseph took up the classical guitar at the age of 4. He would later be introduced to the oboe during his high school years and at a stage-band recital, was asked to fill in for an absent bassist, instantly falling in love with jazz and the bass, and the rest is history. There’s nothing that Joseph enjoys more than music to find peace.

  2. At a very young age


    Joseph began his business career importing and distributing Italian jeans and casual wear through retail outlets called POP 84. In association with a major Italian manufacturer, Joseph created a major presence for the POP 84 trademark through the 25 retail outlets he owned and operated in the Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Los Angeles and New York.

  3. Joseph founded Colourfast
    Corp. in 1992



    Focused on developing new and creative design and finishing options for manufacturers in multiple sectors, Joseph oversees all the major aspects of Colourfast Corp., from sales, research and development, strategic planning, finance, and customer relations. His vast experience in upper management with several companies over the last thirty years has given way to many new and exciting opportunities.

  4. Since April of 2012

    Global Jazz


    Joseph has played an integral role as an Executive Member of the Board of Advisors for the Berklee Global Jazz Institute in Boston. A huge fan of contemporary Jazz, his journey with BGJI has taken him to international jazz festivals throughout North and South America, representing some of the most talented and driven students of jazz from around the world. The Berklee Global Jazz Institute (BGJI) is a performance program designed to foster creativity and musicianship
    through various musical disciplines, with Grammy Award winning, pianist and composer Danilo Pérez as its artistic director.

  5. Member of the Board of Directors



    Joseph sat on the Board of Directors of JAZZ.FM91 for three years and sat as Vice Chair for an additional two years. Joseph was there to experience the highs and lows associated with transition of leadership from the previous Board and Co-Chaired the “SAVE JAZZ.FM91” movement in 2018. As Vice Chair of a a newly elected Board, Joseph played an important role in establishing a new path forward for the charitable organization and helped put in place a series of procedures and much-needed structure which ensured good governance, transparency, accountability and a clear responsibility to donors and voting members of the station. With structure in place, Joseph decided to move on and focus his sights on the development of Level 1 Collective in 2020.
